Bathing and watersports

Mermaids, adventurers and enthusiasts beware!

The Zeller See

In summer, the clear “Zeller See” lake is the ideal place for pleasant refreshment in the cool water. It has some of the most beautiful waters in the Salzburg landscape, is well known for its excellent water quality and in the summer months it reaches an average temperature of 23° Celsius. Boat trips, sailing surfing or swimming - aday bathing by the Zell lake is simply part of a summer holiday in Maishofen!

Due to the central location of our farm, the Zell lake can be quickly reached via a cycling route, a walking path or by road (just under 2km away). The lidos with adventurous swimming pools, giant slides, dousing showers and many other attractions, as well as some of the bathing spots on the Zell lake, can easily be reached along the cycling track or by car. Our guests can use the Maishofener Strandbad for free.

The Ritzensee

The Ritzensee is located in Saalfelden - approximately 10 minutes away from our farm by car. The marshy, pleasantly warm water and the spacious spots to lie down ensure exclusive bathing fun.

Canyoning, rafting, kayaking

Those who love action, thrills and adventure will be inspired by a canyoning tour through the most beautiful ravines in the Salzburg landscape.  The rivers in the Salzburg countryside are some of the most interesting rafting rivers in Austria. The whitewater routes in the Saalach and Salzach rivers form a challenging obstacle course with different waves and currents that you can safely overcome with your guide.

Kayaking opens a completely new perspective in terms of discovery and nature. The crystal-clear waters of the Zell lake and the surrounding rivers provide the ideal conditions for this wonderful natural experience.
